These may include:
• Coughs, colds, and other respiratory conditions
• Asthma, COPD, pneumonia
• Allergic reactions, rashes, boils
• Lacerations, contusions and other injuries
• Sprains and strains
• Carpal tunnel syndrome and other work related injuries
• Broken bones

MUA – Manipulation Under Anesthesia
MUA is a gentle and non-invasive technique for restoring pain-free function and mobility to those with chronic pain issues. It has been proven a successful alternative to conservative care treatments. Recent improvements in anesthetics and a growing interest in non-surgical solutions to pain have given MUA new life, though it has been practiced for more than 60 years. MUA is a simple, out-patient procedure that is performed in 20 - 30 minute sessions over one to three consecutive days. Two MUA-certified doctors and an anesthesiologist are always present with the patient during the entire procedure. Light sedation is used to relax the patient, allowing hands-on maneuvering and stretching of the affected area. With manipulation, blood flow is restored and inflammation is eased. As scar tissue within the joints or muscles is broken down, range-of-motion is regained. A follow-up program consisting of a week to 10 days of intensive therapy, then 6 - 8 weeks of continuing rehabilitation, helps assure that patients maintain their improved level of health. Patients with unresolved neck, back, shoulder or muscle pain, herniated disks, fibromyalgia, failed back surgeries and other musculoskeletal issues can often obtain relief with MUA. Candidates for the procedure should first have undergone chiropractic care and/or other conventional approaches such as injections, epidurals and medications for a minimum period of 4 - 6 weeks, without sufficiently easing their symptoms. When other therapies fail, MUA was found to bring permanent relief to 80% of patients with chronic pain, and marked improvement to the rest. BROCHURE | VIDEO
ART – Active Release Techniques®
ART is a soft-tissue management system developed in 1991 by P. Michael Leahy, DC while working with his chiropractic patients. Dr. Leahy found that nerves and blood vessels often become trapped in scar tissue formed as a result of acute injury, repetitive motion, or constant pressure or tension. ART helps restore optimal texture, motion and function of the patient’s soft tissue by manipulative breakdown and removal of adhesions and fibroses. ART uses over 500 distinct moves that allow the providers to more accurately evaluate and correct the patient’s specific dysfunction. Some of the many conditions that can be improved with ART include carpal tunnel syndrome, spinal pain dysfunction, tendonitis, sciatica, TMJ, recurrent sprains and strains, and soft tissue inflammatory disorders of the hip, shoulder or extremities. The initial ART procedure starts with a consultation and history examination, followed by a series of treatments. Patients often experience positive results from the beginning. This can mean increased range of motion, reduced pain, improved muscle strength, or less numbness and tingling. Recurrence of a condition is very low when the patient follows the prescribed exercises and lifestyle modifications.
